Episode 100, Talking with Mom and Dad When They're Not With You
This is the 100th Celebration Episode of Doing it Best with Eldercare Success!
Caring for an aging parent is not easy: it can take up much time, effort, and even money. But when your job as their caregiver ends, it often stops abruptly. For many of us, it becomes one of the most difficult transitions we'll go through in our caring journey, especially when we still have questions to ask, and things to learn.
This is our 100th Episode of Eldercare Success and I wanted to mark this occasion with something special for you and for me, too. I wasn’t sure what, so I thought I could get some ideas from my own parents. Unfortunately, they’ve both passed on.
But why give up so easily? So, I found an interesting special guest to help. She’s a spiritual medium who has her Master's in theology, serves as a Hospice chaplain, and is also a Death Doula (I wanted to cover all the bases). I think you might find this episode discussion especially interesting. It’s one in which I share some rather personal things with you, too.
Let me know what you think about getting support from those you love who’ve since passed. Send me a note on the Eldercare Success podcast page (https://EldercareSuccess.Live). There’s a tab on the right side of the page that will take you to the option to write me a note or send me a personal voice message. I’m interested in hearing about your experiences and what your thoughts are on this episode (and the 99 others).
